It’s difficult to convey what it feels like after a thorough teeth cleaning, but it’s something like this. (She also got her nails clipped to boot). Overall the day was a bit rough.

Henley apologized in my behalf for missing some critical Cheagle activity over the last few days. Here is a good sample of what she’s been up to, which includes:

Cheagles and gnomes are natural rivals. They are both small, love bushes, and get up to lots of mischief. Having so much in common it seems as if Cheagles and gnomes should be steadfast allies, but they are both under the impression that the other is just copying them; so a rivalry is the prevailing attitude.
A sunset is only as lovely as the dog you’re with.
– Cheagle proverb
Henley has been spending some overnights at daycare while we were on vacation. That’s the public story. In truth she has been on a 4-day mission surveying sites for a new base of operations for C.H.E.A.G. (Cheagles Helping End All Greed). An organization dedicated primarily to ending poverty and hunger for animals worldwide. The organization focuses on working with local government to prevent food scarcity and encourage economic advancement for the lower castes of animal society.
Unfortunately Henley cannot fully reveal where she was due to secrecy, but she has hinted she was in the Mediterranean region, talking about how many olives she ate.
I’m happy that Henley was able to make good use of her time while we were away. She is quite jet-lagged and enjoying a well deserved rest nestled between my legs.
It’s important to provide outlets for high energy Cheagles. Henley can enjoy tearing into paper bags or cardboard. She doesn’t chew anything else in the house, but paper products are her nemesis.

Happy Valentine’s Day! The sign is misleading, Cheagles don’t give out smooches for less than 10 cents. They know their worth.
Henley is feeling spiffy in her brand new coat!
It is well documented that Cheagles running fast enough can get a few inches of lift off the ground due to their ears acting like wings.
Cheagles are always a bit intimidating to play with. Just remember, if a Cheagle lets you keep your fingers, then they like you!
